How I Work | Here are the four key elements I use to help your increased mental health and wellness:
Become Present In The Moment With Mindfulness Training Mindfulness is about being in the here and now, right now. Learning to get present in the moment versus getting stuck in our heads, negative thought patterns and unhealthy behaviors is critical to decreasing your suffering.
Studies show that some of the benefits of mindfulness training include: |
| • | Decreased anxiety, depression and stress |
 |
| • | Rewiring the brain for greater happiness and ease |
 |
| • | Increased self-compassion |
 |
| • | Decreased urges to binge or emotionally eat |
 |
| • | More effective and healthy coping abilities |
 |
| • | Improved self-esteem |
 |
| • | Increased vitality and enthusiasm for life |
| I will show you how mindfulness can help you develop an intimate and focused awareness of your whole self: thoughts, perceptions, emotions and behaviors. I will teach you simple and concrete methods for dealing more effectively with your fears, worries and stress.
Learn To Honor Your Authenticity The most amazing thing about who you are is your undeniable originality. In all of time and space, there has never been another you who has seen, done, experienced or thought the way that you do. Honoring our authenticity involves trusting our intuition, leading with our whole hearts and expressing our creativity.
Living an authentic life involves risks and sometimes, negative judgments from others. Recovering from the trap of perfectionism and the “disease to please” means being willing to let go of the need for approval and validation from others. Stepping into your power means trusting yourself first and foremost and acting from your intuition.
You can feel worthy and whole without being "perfect" or working yourself to the bone.
Discover How To Better Nourish Yourself Emotionally
Perfectionists are notoriously bad at self-care. That is, you are probably better at taking care of others than taking care of yourself.
Emotional nourishment is about finding the right alchemy of affirming thoughts, self-loving practices, supportive people and life enhancing activities that feeds you from the inside out.
Emotions are such an important part of getting empowered. By learning to honor and act upon your authentic needs and emotions, a fulfilling and empowered life free from stress and overwhelm becomes reality.
Know What You Stand For There is a famous quote by Peter Marshall, US Senate Chaplain, 1947, that reads “Unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.”
When you can identify and name your values, you come to know one of the most intimate parts of yourself. Values provide the difference between a vital life and a deadened life.
I support my clients in a values exploration in order to answer the question: “What do I really want my life to be about?” Values provide you with a meaningful path to follow that is uniquely your own. Therein lies a strong foundation for feeling confident, clear and energized.
